The Eagle Nebula is 7,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Serpens. This particular column of gas and dust is an enormous 91.7 trillion kilometres long.
It reminds me of a watch tower. Which reminds me of the song “All Along the Watchtower.” Which reminds me of Battlestar Galactica. Which reminds me of how nerdy I am.
